What is the baptism in the Holy Spirit?
The baptism in the Holy Spirit is an empowering experience, distinct from salvation, in which a believer is filled with the Spirit for bold witness and spiritual gifts - what Jesus promised in Acts 1:8 and what happened at Pentecost in Acts 2. It is available to every believer who asks (Luke 11:13).
It is not about earning a higher spiritual rank. It is God equipping ordinary people to live the Christian life with His power rather than their own.
