What is tithing, and do I have to give?
A tithe is giving the first ten percent of your income to God through the local church (Malachi 3:10). Nobody is required or checked; giving is an act of worship and trust, and Scripture says God loves a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7). Visitors are never expected to give.
