How do I pray?
Prayer is simply talking honestly with God. You can pray anywhere, out loud or silently, in your own words. Jesus gave a pattern in the Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13): honor God, ask for what you need, confess, forgive, and ask for His help.
There are no magic words. Many people find it helpful to use the pattern of praise, confession, thanksgiving, and requests - but the main thing is to actually do it. God hears the short, unpolished prayer.
