How do I start reading the Bible?
Start with one of the Gospels - John or Mark - to meet Jesus directly, read a short passage daily rather than rushing, and ask God to speak to you before you read. A readable translation like the NIV, ESV, or NLT helps.
A simple daily habit beats an ambitious plan you abandon. Read a chapter or less, then ask three questions: What does this say about God? What does it say about people? What should I do in response?
After John, many people go to Psalms for prayer, Proverbs for wisdom, and Romans for the foundations of the faith. A Crew is a great place to read with others and ask questions.
